Category Manager – Retail Partnerships

About the role

The Category Manager will join Warner Bros. Discovery’s Consumer Products division, working within the Direct‑to‑Retail (DTR) business. You will own the commercial relationship with key retail partners across the UK and Ireland, driving distribution, revenue and category growth.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Senior Category Manager to develop strategic plans covering supply routes, franchise usage and commercial terms.
• Deliver quarterly revenue targets for assigned product ranges and franchises.
• Secure and expand product listings across multiple consumer categories and pricing structures.
• Align promotional activities with cross‑divisional campaigns and broader content marketing initiatives.
• Partner with internal WBD teams to maximise regional and global revenues and coordinate pitch activities.
• Conduct regular business reviews with retail partners to assess performance and identify growth opportunities.
• Analyse range performance and market trends to refine future product assortments.
• Ensure all category and promotional initiatives comply with brand and franchise guidelines.
• Represent the business at trade shows and industry events.

Required profile

• Proven experience in the UK and Irish retail market, with a clear understanding of retail buying processes.
• Knowledge of product development processes is a plus.
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to translate brand opportunities into retail execution.
• Excellent time‑management skills and the capacity to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Ability to drive growth in a rapidly changing retail environment.
