Cloud Engineer – AWS & DevOps

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Cloud Engineer with deep expertise in AWS, containerised platforms and CI/CD pipelines. The role focuses on improving reliability, scalability and automation while supporting engineering teams to deliver high‑quality services. You will be responsible for infrastructure automation, deployment optimisation and platform reliability across cloud‑native environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and support highly available AWS infrastructure using IaC (Terraform or CloudFormation).
• Manage core AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, ELB, Auto Scaling and CloudWatch.
• Build, maintain and optimise CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred) for automated build, test and deployment.
• Deploy and manage containerised applications with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/AKS).
• Support Windows (IIS/.NET) and Linux production environments.
• Develop automation scripts in PowerShell, Bash or Python.
• Implement monitoring, logging and alerting solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch).
• Participate in incident response, root‑cause analysis and capacity planning.
• Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure and security teams to reduce manual effort and drive platform modernisation.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Strong hands‑on AWS experience covering compute, storage, database, networking and security services.
• Proficiency with Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred).
• Hands‑on experience with Docker and exposure to Kubernetes (EKS/AKS).
• Windows Server administration (IIS/.NET) and Linux system administration.
• Mandatory PowerShell scripting skills; Bash and/or Python scripting experience.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK and CloudWatch.
• Good understanding of networking, security and cloud architecture principles.
