About the role
The Communications Manager will shape the organisation’s voice on a national stage as it implements its 2025–2030 Strategy. This senior role leads a full organisational repositioning and builds an integrated communications function from the ground up.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy aligned with the new organisational vision.
- Lead media engagement, narrative building, and public affairs activities.
- Manage high‑value stakeholder relationships across the HSE, government bodies, NGOs and other partners.
- Oversee strategic communications projects, departmental budgets and external creative agencies.
- Support change‑management communications during periods of restructuring or transformation.
Required profile
- Proven senior communications experience in a complex, multi‑stakeholder environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead communications through organisational change.
- Strong track record in media relations and public affairs.
- Excellent stakeholder diplomacy with public‑sector and non‑profit partners.
- Extensive experience managing projects, budgets and external agencies.
