Community Intervention Team (CIT) Nurse

About the role

The Community Intervention Team (CIT) Nurse provides evidence‑based nursing care to patients in the Wexford area, working across a variety of community settings. This part‑time role involves five shifts per fortnight (approximately 20 hours) and includes travel to client homes using a CIT‑provided vehicle.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based nursing care in community environments.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care plans.
• Utilise the CIT vehicle to reach patients safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Active NMBI registration on the General Nurse Register.
• Recent acute nursing experience.
• Proven ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Full clean manual driver’s licence (vehicle provided).
• Commitment to personal and professional development.

Required skills

• Cannulation
• Administration of IV therapies
• CVAD (central venous access device) care
• Phlebotomy
