About the role
The Community Intervention Team (CIT) Nurse provides evidence‑based nursing care to patients in the Wexford area, working across a variety of community settings. This part‑time role involves five shifts per fortnight (approximately 20 hours) and includes travel to client homes using a CIT‑provided vehicle.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based nursing care in community environments.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care plans.
- Utilise the CIT vehicle to reach patients safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to regulatory standards.
Required profile
- Active NMBI registration on the General Nurse Register.
- Recent acute nursing experience.
- Proven ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Full clean manual driver’s licence (vehicle provided).
- Commitment to personal and professional development.
Required skills
- Cannulation
- Administration of IV therapies
- CVAD (central venous access device) care
- Phlebotomy
