Staff Nurses, Social Care & Support Workers – Westmeath Residential Services

About the role

We are seeking qualified Staff Nurses, Social Care Workers and Support Workers to join our residential services across Westmeath. You will help individuals with physical or intellectual disabilities and autism to develop independent living skills, engage with the community and maintain their health and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day, evening and overnight support in both individual and group residential settings.
• Assist service users with personal care, medication administration and daily living activities.
• Promote community inclusion and facilitate participation in local activities.
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to HIQA standards.

Required profile

• Relevant recognised Diploma in Social Care (Level 7) approved by CORU, or a nursing qualification (RNID/General/Mental Health – NMBI registered), or an HSE recognised Fetac/QQI Level 5 award.
• Registration with CORU (or in process) for social care candidates.
• Experience supporting adults with intellectual disabilities or autism.
• Valid manual driving licence.

Required skills

• Basic IT skills – email, word processing and internal systems.
• Knowledge of HIQA standards.
• Ability to work independently and plan effectively.
