Company Accountant – Flexible 3‑day Week

About the role

Labquip (Ireland) Ltd is seeking a qualified Company Accountant to join its growing team in Dublin. This permanent role offers a flexible three‑day week or morning schedule, ideal for experienced accountants looking to reduce hours or re‑enter the workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the Accounts Administrator.
• Review departmental performance, revenue contribution and cost analysis.
• Monitor and support achievement of company gross‑margin targets.
• Prepare and file Irish and UK VAT returns for the subsidiary.
• Identify inefficiencies and potential cost savings across the business.
• Plan and manage cash flow, bank balances and foreign‑currency requirements.
• Review non‑trade supplier costs and service contracts to achieve savings.
• Own the month‑end close process and progress to full independence.
• Process purchase invoices, supplier payments and investigate sales anomalies.
• Prepare year‑end accounts for external auditors and respond to queries.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant.
• Proactive with a methodical, problem‑solving approach.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and maintain high attention to detail.
• Commercial awareness and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
