Critical Infrastructure Specialist

About the role

The Critical Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for the reliability, security and regulatory compliance of the site‑level IT‑for‑OT infrastructure that supports manufacturing and laboratory operations. Working in a 24/7 production environment, the role ensures that all OT services are delivered according to global CIM standards, cybersecurity policies and GxP expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Own availability, performance, resilience and compliance of all critical OT infrastructure, managing capacity, obsolescence and single points of failure.
• Maintain GxP‑validated infrastructure, support audits, provide documentation and remediate findings.
• Apply global CIM, OT cybersecurity and IT‑for‑OT architectural standards, including network segmentation and secure design.
• Implement, operate and maintain OT hosting platforms (compute, storage, virtualization, Citrix) and manage endpoint configuration, patching and support.
• Ensure OT network availability and resilience, coordinate changes, incidents and recovery activities.
• Deliver services following ITSM processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Request) and keep CMDB and service documentation up‑to‑date.
• Monitor infrastructure health, performance and capacity proactively and drive lifecycle activities such as upgrades and de‑commissioning.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing OT or industrial IT infrastructure in a regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of GxP, data integrity and validation requirements.
• Ability to work autonomously in a 24/7 production‑critical setting and collaborate with global cybersecurity and IT teams.
