Data Analyst / Power BI Developer

About the role

Our client, a leading financial services organisation, is looking for an experienced Data Analyst / Power BI Developer to enhance and deliver enterprise reporting and analytics on a modern cloud‑based data platform. The role combines data analysis, dashboard development, testing and close collaboration with business stakeholders in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and translate business requirements into reporting specifications.
• Analyse, validate and reconcile datasets in a cloud‑based data warehouse using SQL.
• Design, develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Enhance data models, semantic layers and reporting calculations to support self‑service analytics.
• Participate in system integration testing and user acceptance testing, handling defects and resolutions.
• Investigate and resolve day‑to‑day data and reporting issues with technical and business teams.
• Support data governance and data quality initiatives through controls, reconciliations and validation.
• Produce and maintain documentation such as report specifications, testing evidence and user guides.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Data Analyst, BI Analyst or Reporting Analyst.
• Strong SQL skills for complex dataset analysis and validation.
• Hands‑on experience creating reports and dashboards with Power BI.
• Experience with cloud‑based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake) and data modelling concepts.
• Proven ability to support testing activities, including UAT and system testing.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Experience in regulated or data‑intensive environments is a plus.
