Data & BI Engineer

About the role

Our client, a rapidly growing financial services organisation, is looking for a talented Data & BI Engineer to join a high‑performing technology team. You will design and deliver innovative data solutions that enable strategic decision‑making across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and optimise scalable data pipelines and data models for reporting and analytics.
• Analyse system logs and datasets to troubleshoot and resolve data‑related issues.
• Develop and enhance BI solutions, ensuring high‑quality visualisation and reporting outputs.
• Collaborate with Product, QA and DevOps teams to deliver robust data solutions.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives for development, deployment and data processes.
• Participate in architectural discussions and document technical solutions, workflows and processes.
• Support the creation of internal tools and automation to improve efficiency.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of experience in Data Engineering, BI Engineering or a similar role.
• Strong experience with SQL, complex query development and performance optimisation.
• Proven background in data warehousing, data modelling and ETL/ELT processes.
• Experience working with large‑scale datasets and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
