Data Engineer – Python ETL & API Integration

About the role

Our Dublin‑based client is looking for a Data Engineer to own and evolve their growing data platform. You will be responsible for building reliable Python‑based ETL pipelines, integrating systems via REST APIs, and ensuring data consistency in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and improve existing Python ETL scripts and data workflows.
• Develop new Python scripts for data ingestion, transformation and automation.
• Monitor pipeline health, handle failures, rerun jobs and guarantee data quality.
• Integrate internal and external systems using REST APIs.
• Troubleshoot pipeline issues and document solutions for technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Identify automation opportunities with Power Automate, Power Apps and N8N.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver practical solutions.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience with Python development.
• Proven experience building and maintaining ETL pipelines.
• Solid understanding of REST API integration in production.
• Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science or a related field.
