DevOps Engineer – CI/CD & QA Automation

About the role

We are partnering with a leading insurance client on a large‑scale transformation programme. The role bridges DevOps, platform engineering and quality assurance, focusing on automation, resilient CI/CD pipelines and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Build, optimise and maintain robust CI/CD infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
• Develop and maintain automated smoke, integration, performance and security tests within the deployment lifecycle.
• Design automated rollback and failover procedures to minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to diagnose build failures and drive remediation.
• Support continuous improvement of deployment automation, testing standards and release quality.
• Prepare weekly system demonstrations covering infrastructure health, performance benchmarks and security metrics.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in DevOps, CI/CD engineering and QA/testing environments.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
• Experience troubleshooting deployment failures in regulated or enterprise settings.
• Self‑starter who enjoys technical ownership and acting as a lead on CI/CD and QA initiatives.

• Scripting for reusable automation and verification (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python).
• Version control workflows (e.g., Git).
