DevOps Engineer – Flexible location in Ireland

About the role

Brightflag is looking for a DevOps Engineer to help shape and maintain the infrastructure that powers its AI‑first legal technology platform. The role offers flexible work arrangements across Ireland, allowing you to work from the office, remotely, or a blend of both.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain infrastructure and systems for development, testing and production deployments.
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers and product managers to define infrastructure requirements and ensure smooth operations.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated deployment scripts and configuration‑management processes.
• Implement observability solutions to detect and resolve performance issues and bottlenecks.
• Continuously improve scalability, reliability and security of the platform using best‑practice tools and technologies.
• Stay current with DevOps and cloud‑infrastructure trends and apply new knowledge to improve processes.
• Work with the security team to meet compliance standards, manage vulnerabilities and support incident response.
• Document system configurations, processes and troubleshooting procedures for knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• 3‑4 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
• Competent programming skills in Java or C# and scripting with Python, Bash or similar shells.
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and common command‑line tools.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and hands‑on experience with tools such as AWS CodeBuild, Bitbucket Pipelines or GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with build tools like Maven, Make or npm.
• Good grasp of fundamental AWS cloud infrastructure concepts.
