Director, CDIO Office – Digital Business Capabilities (Mining)

About the role

As Director of the CDIO Office within Digital Business Capabilities, you will lead the translation of Mining’s business strategy into a digital agenda that delivers measurable outcomes. You will shape the operating model, governance and architecture that enable the Digital Shift across the Business Area.

Key responsibilities

• Translate Business Area strategy into a clear DBC direction that accelerates the Digital Shift.
• Own and develop the DBC strategy and internal OKRs.
• Secure appropriate funding for process teams together with end‑to‑end process owners and Business Control.
• Lead the implementation of an operating model that blends project‑based and agile ways of working.
• Ensure all process teams have clearly defined business outcomes and key results.
• Steer capacity across continuous improvement, run and must‑win initiatives, including ERP rollout.
• Define and evolve the target architecture, covering AI transformation, modernization and build‑versus‑buy decisions.

Required profile

• Strong strategic foundation with the ability to turn direction into execution.
• Experience in complex senior environments, comfortable navigating both business and digital perspectives.
• Proven experience with agile ways of working and agile transformation.
• Background in program and project management.
• Understanding of enterprise architecture.
• Competence in process development and process frameworks.
• Experience prioritising work together with senior management.
• Confident engaging at senior level and connecting strategy, structure and delivery.
