Duty Manager – Port Operations

About the role

The Duty Manager (Port Operations) is responsible for the safe, efficient and compliant day‑to‑day running of port activities during assigned shifts. You will coordinate vessel turnarounds, manage passenger, vehicle and freight handling, and act as the primary point of contact for port authorities, vessel crews and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all port operations during vessel turnaround
• Coordinate with port authorities, security, stevedores and vessel crew
• Ensure adherence to schedules and on‑time departures
• Manage check‑in, boarding and disembarkation processes
• Lead and supervise ground operations teams
• Control passenger and vehicle flow
• Maintain compliance with safety and security regulations
• Respond to operational incidents and produce reports
• Serve as point of contact for escalated customer issues

Required profile

• 3–5+ years’ experience in transport operations, airport ground or port/ferry environments
• Background in leading or supervising operational teams
• Strong decision‑making and organisational skills
• Fluent English; French is an advantage
• Full driving licence
