Financial Controller – Automotive (Dublin)

About the role

Our client, a well‑established and growing automotive business in Dublin, is looking for an experienced Financial Controller or Head of Finance to join the senior leadership team. This strategic hire will own the finance function in a fast‑paced, commercially driven environment and work closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day‑to‑day finance function.
• Oversee monthly management accounts, reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Provide commercial and operational financial insight to senior leadership.
• Ensure robust financial controls, compliance and governance processes.
• Monitor cash‑flow, reconciliations and overall financial performance.
• Support strategic decision‑making and continuous process‑improvement initiatives.
• Liaise with external auditors, advisors and key stakeholders.
• Mentor and support members of the finance team.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent).
• Previous experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance leadership role.
• Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Experience within the motor, automotive or environment sectors is advantageous.
• Must hold an Irish/EU passport or a Stamp 4 visa.
