Financial Controller – Leading Irish Business

About the role

The Financial Controller will report directly to the CFO and join a high‑performing finance team within a market‑leading privately owned Irish business. You will provide financial insight and support to senior leadership, influencing commercial decisions and strategic projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, balance‑sheet reconciliations and year‑end accounts.
• Develop presentations and insightful financial analysis for senior management.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and long‑term strategic plans.
• Provide financial support and commercial insights to operational teams across the business.
• Monitor overheads, identify cost‑saving initiatives and drive efficiency improvements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function.
• Assist the CFO on ad‑hoc commercial and strategic finance projects.
• Liaise with senior stakeholders and external advisors as required.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant.
• Minimum 8 years post‑qualification experience.
• Training in a Big 4 or Top 10 accounting practice.
• Industry experience in a commercial business.
• Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders.
• Ambitious professional seeking long‑term progression.
