FP&A Manager

About the role

Portwest is seeking an experienced FP&A Manager to partner with operational and commercial teams across the Group. Reporting to the Head of Finance & M&A, you will drive budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis and support acquisition activities in a fast‑growing global PPE manufacturer.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the annual budget, quarterly forecast and long‑range planning processes.
• Own and maintain financial models that support decision‑making for operations, supply chain and commercial functions.
• Provide clear, actionable insights on profitability, cost drivers and performance trends.
• Conduct forward‑looking stock analysis, monitor inventory turns, ageing, slow‑moving and obsolete stock, and assess impact on working capital.
• Analyse gross‑margin trends by product, category, region and customer, highlighting risks and opportunities.
• Partner with senior operational and commercial stakeholders on investment appraisals, scenario modelling and new initiatives.
• Support central functions (IT, Marketing, etc.) with budgeting, re‑forecasts, ROI analysis and cost‑discipline.
• Collaborate with Corporate Finance on acquisition modelling, valuation support and post‑acquisition performance tracking.

Required profile

• Strong analytical capability combined with commercial insight.
• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting and long‑range financial planning.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally across geographies, including Spanish‑speaking markets.
• Experience interpreting stock movements and driving working‑capital efficiency.
• Track record of partnering with senior business leaders and supporting acquisition projects.
