General Foreperson – Blessington

About the role

Cairn Homes is seeking a General Foreperson to lead on‑site activities at a residential development in Blessington. You will be responsible for health and safety, daily coordination, and ensuring that works progress on schedule and to the required quality.

Key responsibilities

• Own health and safety management for the project.
• Monitor the delivery programme, produce weekly reports and intervene to prevent delays.
• Attend daily whiteboard meetings and continuously inspect site work.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers and civil engineering/groundworks contractors.
• Complete daily allocation sheets for labour and materials.
• Set up and maintain logistics walkways, vehicle and pedestrian routes.
• Oversee works from foundations through first and second fix, external finishes, paving, boundary walls and landscaping.
• Coordinate movement of labour, machinery and materials using site coordination & logistics software.
• Maintain a secure, safe site and ensure accurate waste‑management records.
• Provide excellent customer service and represent the Cairn brand.

Required profile

• Trade background preferred.
• Ability to meet demanding time and quality targets.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Methodical, detail‑oriented and accurate.
• Team player who can also work independently.
• Self‑motivated with initiative.
• Capable of coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
• Willingness to accept responsibility for designated tasks.
