Governance, Risk & Assurance Semi‑Senior Consultant

About the role

Join a well‑established accountancy practice as a Governance, Risk & Assurance Semi‑Senior and become a key member of the rapidly expanding GRA team in Athlone. You will support a diverse client portfolio that includes credit unions, insurance intermediaries, charities, not‑for‑profits and government bodies.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver internal audit, risk management, compliance and advisory services from planning through to reporting and presentation.
• Assess internal control frameworks, identify risks, review legislative compliance and produce high‑quality workpapers and reports using RBK methodology.
• Manage client engagements across onsite, remote and hybrid environments, coordinating workflows and supporting the Management Team.
• Collaborate with the GRA Team Administrator on presentations and workflow management.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified or newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Minimum 1 year experience in risk, compliance, governance or internal audit within financial services, NFP or related sectors.
• Strong understanding of financial services and charities governance codes.
• Excellent analytical, communication and report‑writing abilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
