Group Financial Controller – Immediate Start

About the role

We are seeking a Group Financial Controller to lead the finance function of a fast‑growing, privately owned multi‑entity group operating across Ireland and the UK. Reporting directly to the Group CFO and founders, you will shape financial strategy, drive system transformation and support commercial decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the finance function, ensuring robust reporting, controls and processes across all entities.
• Own month‑end reporting, budgeting and cash‑flow forecasting for the group.
• Drive finance system transformation and integration with operational platforms.
• Manage banking relationships, audit processes and tax compliance.
• Partner with sales, marketing and operations to support profitability and strategic decisions.
• Support M&A activity, including evaluation, execution and post‑deal integration.

Required profile

• 10+ years post‑qualified experience (ACA/ACCA) within industry.
• Strong technical accounting expertise combined with commercial acumen.
• Proven experience managing and developing finance teams.
• Track record of improving systems, controls and reporting in a scaling environment.
• Proactive, hands‑on approach with ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
