Group Internal Auditor

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Group Internal Auditor to join a leading international manufacturing group. The role will involve auditing across global operations, partnering with senior stakeholders to enhance governance, risk management and internal controls. The position is based in Dublin or Cork and includes regular international travel.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and report on internal audits and reviews
• Assess financial, operational, IT, and risk management controls
• Develop practical, value‑adding recommendations
• Build strong relationships with head office and divisional teams
• Support business process and internal control improvements
• Liaise with external auditors and relevant agencies
• Contribute to ad‑hoc projects and special investigations

Required profile

• Qualified ACCA or equivalent; CIA or CFE desirable or willingness to pursue
• Internal and/or external audit experience, preferably in a Big 4 or PLC environment
• Experience in an international manufacturing group is ideal
• Strong risk‑based audit approach
• Fluent in English (and Irish)
• Excellent communication, influencing, and problem‑solving skills
• Willingness to travel internationally (~30 weeks per year)

Required skills

• Familiarity with Computer Assisted Audit Techniques (CAATs)
• Experience with IT General Controls (ITGC) auditing
