Head of Purchasing

About the role

The Head of Purchasing will lead the company‑wide procurement function, shaping strategy, ensuring material availability and driving cost efficiency. Reporting closely with the Division Purchasing Manager, you will act as a strategic partner to the business and a supply‑chain expert.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the corporate purchasing strategy in line with divisional goals.
• Optimize replenishment times, manage multi‑supplier strategies and maintain material availability.
• Control liquidity by optimizing stock levels and reducing material costs.
• Supervise and develop the local purchasing team, aligning processes with group‑wide standards.
• Advance purchasing controlling tools, contribute to price forecasts and monitor results.
• Lead cross‑plant purchasing projects, securing resources and acting as project owner or manager.
• Implement sustainable measures to enhance competitiveness and innovation of procured parts.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in procurement management.
• Strong knowledge of procurement strategies and controlling.
• Proven management experience with the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills and confidence to assert decisions.
