HR Compliance Officer – Ireland

About the role

We are partnering with a leading industry player to hire an experienced HR Compliance Officer for their team in County Cavan. This permanent position offers an excellent salary and benefits package, and you will play a key role in ensuring the organisation remains legally compliant and audit‑ready across all HR functions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Irish work permits, immigration, and right‑to‑work compliance, including applications, renewals and expiry tracking.
• Monitor working time legislation, ensuring correct recording of hours, rest periods and attendance.
• Support GDPR and people‑data compliance, handling data retention, DSARs and access controls.
• Maintain accurate, audit‑ready HR records and coordinate internal and external compliance audits.
• Ensure onboarding and employee lifecycle processes meet statutory and internal compliance requirements.
• Track compliance metrics, identify risks, implement corrective actions and drive continuous improvement in HR controls.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in HR operations, HR compliance or workforce compliance.
• Hands‑on experience with Irish work permits and immigration processes.
• Working knowledge of Irish employment law, especially working‑time legislation.
• Experience in manufacturing, FMCG or regulated environments is desirable but not essential.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Irish right‑to‑work and work‑permit regulations.
• Understanding of working‑time legislation and compliance reporting.
• Familiarity with GDPR requirements, data retention policies and DSAR handling.
• Ability to maintain audit‑ready HR documentation and support compliance audits.
