About the role
The HR Generalist will be the first point of contact for operational HR and facility queries, supporting the business across the full employee lifecycle. Reporting to the Head of HR, you will gain broad experience in recruitment, employee relations, health & safety, and learning & development.
Key responsibilities
- Assist hiring managers with recruitment activities, including job spec updates, advertising, screening, and interviewing.
- Manage onboarding, probation, performance reviews, contractual changes, and off‑boarding processes.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and coordinate external audits.
- Oversee facility‑related issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, and HR system updates (Oracle and TMS).
- Respond to HR queries promptly and professionally.
- Support compensation and benefits administration, including payroll processing.
- Coordinate learning and development initiatives and propose training programs.
- Assist the Head of HR with reporting and ad‑hoc business requests.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an HR generalist role.
- Relevant HR qualification (e.g., CIPD) or progress towards one.
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, employment law, and best practices.
- Professionalism, discretion, and a proactive problem‑solving attitude.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to multitask.
- Positive, can‑do attitude and ability to work both independently and in a team.
