International Counsel – Healthcare & Digital Health

About the role

Hims & Hers is seeking an International Counsel to support its UK and broader European digital health operations. The role will sit at the intersection of life sciences, healthcare compliance, and consumer‑marketing law, providing legal guidance on the promotion of health products and services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on UK healthcare and life‑sciences regulations, including MHRA, CQC, and private‑healthcare frameworks.
• Review and approve marketing and advertising materials across digital, social, TV, and print channels, and develop internal marketing guidelines.
• Advise on compliance with ASA/CAP Code, BCAP Code, DMCC Act, and ABPI Code of Practice.
• Support product launches and growth campaigns, ensuring claims are substantiated and compliant.
• Counsel on telehealth and digital‑health services, including online prescribing and patient‑journey design.
• Manage risk assessments for campaigns and propose practical, business‑friendly solutions.
• Handle regulatory inquiries and liaise with bodies such as ASA, MHRA, and CQC.
• Monitor regulatory developments in the UK/EU healthcare and advertising space.

Required profile

• Qualified UK‑qualified lawyer with deep expertise in healthcare regulation and advertising law.
• Experience advising digital‑health and consumer‑marketing teams.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with marketing, product, medical, and compliance stakeholders.
• Willingness to support the UK business as the first non‑US territory lawyer and to assist expansion into other markets such as Canada.
