IT Field Service Engineer – West of Ireland

About the role

We are seeking an IT Field Service Engineer to provide on‑site technical support across the West of Ireland, covering Galway, Mayo and Sligo. The successful candidate will enjoy hands‑on work and building strong relationships with a diverse customer base.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver on‑site IT support and troubleshooting for client sites throughout the West of Ireland.
• Maintain and configure Microsoft desktop operating systems within domain environments.
• Respond to out‑of‑hours service requests on a rostered basis.
• Travel between client locations using a clean Irish/EU driving licence.
• Act as a trusted point of contact, fostering long‑term client relationships.

Required profile

• CompTIA or higher qualification in an IT discipline (degree welcomed).
• Proven experience in a customer‑facing IT support or field role.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Desktop OS and domain environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Full, clean Irish/EU driving licence.
• Willingness to cover out‑of‑hours shifts on a roster.

Required skills

• CompTIA certification (or equivalent).
• Microsoft Desktop operating system expertise.
• Domain environment configuration and support.
