Junior Mechanical Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our growing Irish building‑services consultancy. You will support the design and delivery of mechanical building services across commercial, residential, healthcare and industrial projects, working within a collaborative, 4‑day‑week environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design of HVAC and mechanical systems for a variety of building projects.
• Produce calculations, technical reports, specifications and drawings.
• Support project delivery from concept design through construction and hand‑over.
• Coordinate with electrical engineers, architects and multidisciplinary design teams.
• Attend project and client meetings and assist with site inspections, commissioning and hand‑over activities.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• 1–3 years’ experience in a consultancy or contractor environment.
• Basic understanding of HVAC and mechanical building services systems.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Motivated attitude with a willingness to learn and develop professionally.
