Learning and Development Manager

About the role

We are partnering with an industry‑leading organisation to find an experienced Learning and Development Manager for their HR team in County Cavan. This permanent position offers a competitive salary, benefits and a hybrid working model (2 days remote).

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement an annual L&D strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Partner with senior leaders to identify skills gaps and capability needs.
• Lead career development, succession planning and leadership growth programmes.
• Design, deliver and evaluate training in face‑to‑face and digital formats.
• Manage the full training lifecycle: needs analysis, delivery, impact evaluation and reporting.
• Create structured learning pathways for new starters, managers and technical teams.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory training requirements.
• Oversee LMS administration, maintain accurate records and content.
• Manage external vendor relationships and negotiate cost‑effective solutions.
• Measure training effectiveness using KPIs, evaluation frameworks and participant feedback.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a senior L&D role with full training cycle responsibility.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse training needs and translate findings into strategic initiatives.
• Experience designing and delivering programmes across multiple formats.
• Strong partnership skills with senior leaders, HR and external providers.
