Maintenance Technician – Dublin Tunnel

About the role

Egis Road and Tunnel Operation Ireland (ERTO) is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the team at the Dublin Tunnel Control Building. You will be responsible for the upkeep of mechanical and electrical systems throughout the tunnel, ensuring safe and reliable operation.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and repair electrical and mechanical equipment within the tunnel.
• Record all maintenance activities in the Maintenance Management System.
• Complete preventive and corrective work orders promptly and cost‑effectively.
• Attend scheduled tunnel closures and provide on‑call support as part of a roster.
• Liaise with contractors and support CAPEX equipment upgrade projects.
• Lead projects aimed at improving equipment reliability, performance and availability.
• Supervise maintenance department projects and ensure compliance with ISO 55001, ISO 27001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards.
• Conduct civil, structural and environmental inspections as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Maintenance Technician.
• Fully qualified electrician with a time‑served electrical qualification.
• Leaving Certificate preferred.
• Desirable experience with MV, LV, LSS and HVAC systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
