Newly or Part Qualified Accountant – Practice Accounting

About the role

We are seeking a newly qualified or part‑qualified accountant to join our professional services firm. You will work directly with partners and senior accountants, delivering accounting, tax and advisory services to SME, agricultural and family business clients.

Key responsibilities

• Review and prepare financial accounts and tax computations for companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Prepare statutory accounts in line with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Generate VAT reports, perform bank reconciliations and resolve client queries.
• Support clients with audit, tax compliance and business advisory needs.
• Manage financial accounts, tax computations and statutory filings for a varied client portfolio.
• Build strong client relationships and contribute proactively to client and business growth.

Required profile

• Recently qualified or part‑qualified accountant (CPA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent).
• Minimum 1 year experience in an accounting practice or firm.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with high attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple client assignments simultaneously.
• Excellent client management, communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to continuous learning and delivering exceptional client service.
