Part‑time Lecturer in Healthcare Management (0.6 FTE)

About the role

The Graduate School of Healthcare Management at RCSI seeks a part‑time Lecturer (0.6 FTE) to cover a maternity‑leave appointment. The role combines teaching, curriculum development and research within a leading health‑sciences university.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate modules in healthcare management, leadership, sustainability, quality and risk.
• Implement innovative teaching and learning approaches that engage and inspire students.
• Ensure all teaching activities meet the School’s quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to the School’s research agenda by developing new research methodologies and applying co‑design, realist, ethnographic, implementation‑science and health‑economic techniques.
• Collaborate with faculty and external partners to enhance the School’s academic reputation.

Required profile

• Relevant academic qualifications (e.g., PhD or equivalent) in healthcare management, leadership, sustainability, quality & risk or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated experience in teaching at the graduate level, preferably in a health‑care context.
• Track record of scholarly research and publications in reputable journals.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
