Process Operator

About the role

The Process Operator is responsible for the day‑to‑day movement of materials and monitoring of the steriliser system used in the ethylene oxide (EO) process. You will handle customer batches, ensure correct labeling, and oversee the execution of sterilisation cycles while maintaining strict documentation and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive customer batches, perform quantity and quality checks, and complete receipt records.
• Label pallets to indicate product disposition throughout the process.
• Prepare and secure loads, transport them safely, and initiate pre‑programmed steriliser cycles after verification.
• Monitor equipment and printers, ensure paper supply, and conduct half‑hourly line checks for specification compliance.
• Document each process stage according to SOPs and retrieve biological indicators (BIs) and samples post‑processing.
• Store BIs correctly for laboratory testing and perform routine preventative maintenance, cleaning, and calibration.
• Assist with equipment validations and support the team as needed.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent education.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or GMP manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Basic awareness of computer technology and mechanical aptitude.
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to follow SOPs and complete documentation accurately.
• Flexible to work in different areas and able to perform shift work as required.
