About the role
College Group is seeking an enthusiastic Process Operator to join the production team at its rendering plant in Nobber, County Meath. The role works on an eight‑hour shift pattern covering days, nights and weekends, and is essential for maintaining efficient plant operations and meeting key performance indicators.
Key responsibilities
- Operate the plant’s PLC system to control production, collect data and generate reports.
- Identify and communicate any production issues to the supervisor.
- Achieve required process capacity and KPI targets.
- Hand over critical information during shift changes.
- Sample products and deliver them to the laboratory for quality control.
- Carry out routine facility maintenance, equipment inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Follow all health, safety and regulatory guidelines set by the HSA and other authorities.
Required profile
- Strong organisational and prioritisation abilities.
- High attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills.
Required skills
- Experience operating PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems.
