About the role
Our client, a leading organisation in the financial services sector, is seeking an experienced Procurement Contracts Manager on a 6‑month contract. The role will support procurement and supplier management activities across key business functions, working 2 days on‑site and 3 days from home.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with senior business stakeholders to align procurement activity with operational priorities and wider business objectives.
- Support commercial and procurement initiatives across multiple spend categories, primarily IT and professional services.
- Manage supplier and vendor relationships to ensure strong commercial outcomes, service quality, and effective risk mitigation.
- Coordinate tendering and sourcing exercises in line with procurement governance standards.
- Lead contract negotiations and oversee preparation and review of supplier agreements.
- Ensure supplier lifecycle and procurement governance processes are adhered to across all engagements.
- Identify commercial risks within supplier agreements and work with contract owners to implement mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with regional and international procurement teams to drive consistency and best practice.
- Deliver procurement reporting and commercial updates to stakeholders in a timely and accurate manner.
- Support cost optimisation initiatives while maintaining strong supplier performance and service delivery standards.
Required profile
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in procurement, supplier management, or commercial contracts roles.
- Strong background managing contracts within IT and/or professional services categories.
- Demonstrated experience negotiating supplier agreements and managing commercial discussions.
- Experience working within regulated or corporate environments with strong governance requirements.
- Proven stakeholder management experience across senior business and operational teams.
- Ability to interpret contractual and financial information and identify associated commercial risks.
- Experience supporting procurement frameworks, supplier onboarding, and supplier risk processes.
- Strong communication, influencing, and relationship management skills.
- Third‑level qualification in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Law, or a related discipline; professional procurement qualifications such as CIPS are advantageous.
