Project Architect – 6‑Month Maternity Cover

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Architect to join our small, design‑led studio on a six‑month maternity cover. The role involves managing residential projects from design coordination through to on‑site delivery, working closely with clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day management of multiple residential projects at various stages.
• Coordinate effectively with clients, contractors, consultants and suppliers.
• Review drawings, detailing and site progress to maintain design quality and intent.
• Conduct site inspections, oversee timelines, quality and delivery.
• Resolve on‑site issues using technical expertise and creative problem‑solving.
• Ensure smooth and efficient delivery of projects throughout all phases.

Required profile

• Registered with RIAI or eligible for registration without further assessment.
• Strong design ability with good understanding of interior fit‑out and finishes.
• Proven experience in construction‑stage project delivery.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
• Excellent technical knowledge, attention to detail and solid understanding of planning regulations and building legislation.
• Organised, proactive and comfortable taking ownership of projects.
• Confident communication with clients, consultants and site teams.
• Substantial on‑site experience managing contractors, suppliers and subcontractors.
