Purchasing Administrator – Construction Procurement

About the role
We are seeking a proactive Purchasing Administrator to join our construction team in Galway. You will support the procurement function across a range of key spend categories, ensuring timely and cost‑effective acquisition of goods and services for multi‑million euro projects.
Key responsibilities
- Manage spend categories such as PPE, concrete accessories and other construction materials.
- Assist with GRN’ing of dockets to keep records up to date.
- Issue tender enquiries by email and analyse received quotes.
- Maintain price books and analyse spend data in SAP.
- Support supplier selection and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Report on project costs versus budgets for assigned categories.
- Assist with bill of quantities abstraction for tendering purposes.
Required profile
- Experience in the construction industry is an advantage.
- Ability to prioritize procurement issues and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
- Good communication with suppliers at all levels.
Required skills
- SAP – maintaining price books, analysing spend and generating reports.
