Qualified Accountant – Longford (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified accountant to join our leading practice in Longford. The role offers the chance to work with a varied client portfolio across multiple sectors, develop technical expertise and progress within a supportive, team‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of sole trader, partnership and limited company clients, delivering tailored accounting and financial support.
• Prepare accurate financial statements for a range of entity types.
• Complete income tax and corporation tax returns well ahead of statutory deadlines.
• Provide strategic financial advice aligned with each client’s business needs.
• Meet regularly with clients to review financial positions, ensure compliance and nurture strong relationships.
• Support clients in meeting regulatory and statutory obligations.
• Mentor junior team members and uphold service standards.
• Report to senior management and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent).
• Minimum two years of post‑qualification practice experience.
• Proven experience supervising junior staff and managing client accounts.
• Strong ability to meet strict deadlines and work proactively.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive, team‑oriented attitude.
