Quality Engineer

About the role

Wills Bros is looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join the delivery team for the West Apron Vehicle Underpass (WAVU) at Dublin Airport. This high‑visibility infrastructure project offers the chance to work in a live operational environment, ensuring that structural works meet the highest standards of quality, safety and programme compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor quality control procedures across all project phases, including materials testing and workmanship verification.
• Carry out regular site inspections to confirm compliance with design specifications, safety protocols and quality standards.
• Maintain comprehensive records of inspections, tests and audits, and produce detailed reports for project management.
• Identify, investigate and resolve quality‑related issues, providing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, contractors and suppliers to ensure seamless communication and adherence to timelines.
• Ensure all activities comply with Irish health, safety, environmental regulations and company policies.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of quality processes within the project and the wider organisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum three years of Irish civil‑engineering experience, preferably on road or large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, Irish construction regulations and ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail and communication skills.
• Fluent English.
