Representative - Brokerage Operations Tax

About the role

Join Fidelity's Tax Services team in Ireland and provide second‑line support for cost basis inquiries. You will assist Personal Investing Client Experience representatives by handling client calls and service requests related to tax reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to client inquiries via telephone and internal systems regarding cost basis and tax forms.
• Maintain accurate cost basis data and perform adjustments for assets, stock splits, dividends, and capital returns.
• Process systematic service requests and support the tracking of cost basis information for IRS Form 1099 reporting.
• Provide subject‑matter expertise to internal teams and help improve the overall client experience.
• Identify opportunities to reduce client effort and increase operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 0‑2 years of experience, preferably in financial services or a shared‑service environment.
• Strong customer service and analytical abilities.
• Self‑motivated with a desire to learn IRS cost‑basis regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using Microsoft PowerPoint.
