Senior Associate – Environment & Planning Lawyer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join our Environment and Planning Unit within the Dispute Resolution Department. The successful candidate will work on high‑stakes, complex litigation and advisory matters, interacting directly with clients and delivering strategic advice.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice on environmental and planning issues for major projects.
• Draft and review complex legal documents, pleadings, and submissions.
• Manage and lead litigation matters, including preparation for hearings and trials.
• Maintain direct client contact, ensuring clear communication and commercial focus.
• Collaborate with senior partners and other practice groups to develop integrated solutions.

Required profile

• Strong academic background with a law degree.
• 4‑6 years post‑qualification experience in environment and planning law.
• Excellent organisational abilities and capacity to manage multiple priorities.
• Commercially minded with a proactive, resilient work ethic.
• Effective communicator with strong drafting skills.
