Senior Engineering Manager, Developer Experience Platform

About the role

Fin is looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Builder Tools team, the platform that powers fast, reliable, and low‑toil shipping for hundreds of engineers. You will own the developer experience, drive strategic initiatives, and integrate AI‑assisted tooling to keep Fin moving quickly and safely.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, hire, coach, and set outcomes for the Builder Tools engineering team.
• Define SLOs, build cost models, and measure developer experience with product‑grade rigor.
• Collaborate with domain experts and R&D partners, earning trust through deep technical expertise.
• Drive high‑impact projects, eliminate manual work, and integrate modern AI‑assisted developer tooling.
• Represent Builder Tools across the organization, evangelize improvements, and remove adoption barriers.
• Make architecture decisions, review designs, and mitigate technical risk while empowering the team.
• Adapt across functions to ensure objectives are met and step beyond traditional boundaries when needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading engineering teams, hiring and coaching senior engineers.
• Strong ability to set clear outcomes, remove blockers, and foster a high‑performance culture.
• Deep understanding of developer experience, SLO definition, and cost modeling.
• Track record of delivering strategic, high‑impact initiatives reliably.
• Comfort with AI‑driven tooling and modern automation practices.
• Excellent collaboration skills with cross‑functional technical partners.
