Shift Production Manager – Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a Shift Production Manager to lead the shift operations at our Charleville facility, producing skimmed milk powder, functional dairy ingredients, cheese powders and custom cheese solutions for European customers. This fast‑paced, 12‑hour rotating shift role is ideal for a hands‑on leader ready to take on greater responsibility.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a production team, fostering a collaborative, safety‑first culture.
• Drive continuous improvement using lean manufacturing techniques to exceed productivity, efficiency and quality targets.
• Monitor and achieve key performance indicators for safety, quality, yield, labour utilisation and waste.
• Manage performance processes including 1‑2‑1s, appraisals, coaching, absence and non‑conformity handling.
• Coordinate with planning, engineering and maintenance to ensure on‑time, cost‑effective order delivery.
• Report and act on equipment breakdowns, support dispatch windows and lead root‑cause investigations.
• Implement and sustain corrective actions and lessons‑learned processes.

Required profile

• Proven track record of leading large teams in a high‑volume GMP manufacturing environment, preferably food.
• Strong analytical and organisational skills with a pragmatic problem‑solving approach.
• Degree in Food Science or related discipline is desirable but not essential.
• In‑depth knowledge of health & safety legislation and food safety standards.
