Software Engineer – Cloud & AI

About the role

Join Cisco’s Webex Engineering Group in Galway as a Software Engineer focused on cloud, micro‑services and AI‑driven features. You will work in an agile team delivering new capabilities for Webex Meetings, Calling and Contact Center, ensuring an immersive experience across devices.

Key responsibilities

• Lead full‑lifecycle development: design, develop, test and deliver new product features.
• Drive DevOps and micro‑service operations for highly available services.
• Integrate AI technologies to boost productivity and accelerate feature delivery.
• Tackle complex problems with data‑driven approaches and rapid learning.
• Own tasks from implementation to automated testing and issue investigation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong architectural and programming expertise with a willingness to learn new technologies.
• Proven problem‑solving ability and collaborative mindset.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Required skills

• Programming languages: Java, Python, C++, JavaScript.
• Experience with data science / AI concepts.
• Version control with Git.
• DevOps practices, continuous integration and continuous delivery.
• Micro‑services architecture.
