About the role

The Health Service Executive (HSE) is seeking a qualified Staff Nurse to join the acute Emergency Department in Naas, Kildare. This permanent, full‑time position is open to both internal HSE staff and external applicants, offering the opportunity to work in a fast‑paced, patient‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality nursing care to patients presenting with emergency medical conditions.
• Assess, triage, and prioritize patients according to clinical urgency.
• Administer medications, perform clinical procedures, and monitor patient responses.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, allied health professionals, and support staff.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HSE policies and clinical guidelines.

Required profile

• Registered General Nurse (RGN) with current registration on the NMBI register.
• Demonstrated experience in an acute Emergency Department setting.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and make rapid clinical decisions.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to best practice standards.

Required skills
