Staff Nurse – Residential Services

About the role

Avista is seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse to join its residential services team supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities in North Tipperary and South Offaly. You will work in a person‑centred, community‑based environment, helping clients live their best lives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality nursing care to children and adults with disabilities in residential settings.
• Implement person‑centred care plans and support skill development and independence.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure best practice and compliance with health standards.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Current NMBI registration.
• Full clean Irish manual driving licence.
• Proficiency in English.
• Desirable: RNID registration and knowledge of person‑centred planning.
• Commitment to Avista’s core values and behavioural competency framework.

Required skills

• Clinical nursing competencies as defined by NMBI.
• Ability to operate a vehicle safely for service delivery.
