About the role

The pharmacy in Mitchelstown, County Cork is seeking a Superintendent Supervising Pharmacist to work Monday‑Thursday. You will ensure all prescription dispensing complies with Irish legislation and PSI guidelines while overseeing daily pharmacy operations.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the Supervising Pharmacist, maintaining up‑to‑date records and paperwork.
• Dispense prescription medicines and perform clinical, pharmaceutical and order‑entry quality reviews.
• Conduct accuracy checks on all prescriptions before dispensing.
• Liaise with prescribers to resolve clinical or regulatory queries.
• Provide patient counselling for all medication recipients.
• Manage locum backup, continuous professional development and quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental health and safety requirements.
• Identify and implement corrective and preventive actions to enhance patient safety and pharmacy quality.

Required profile

• Registered pharmacist qualified to act as Supervising Pharmacist in Ireland.
• Experience in supervising pharmacy staff and managing day‑to‑day pharmacy administration.
• Strong knowledge of Irish pharmacy legislation and PSI guidelines.
• Ability to communicate effectively with doctors, patients and team members.
