Systems Administrator

About the role

Our client, a well‑established professional services firm in Dublin City Centre, is seeking a Systems Administrator to join their IT function. You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the core infrastructure, cloud platforms, networking, and security systems that support the business.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server (2019+) environments both on‑premise and in the cloud.
• Manage Active Directory and Azure Active Directory, including DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.
• Support Microsoft 365 services such as Exchange Online, Intune, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
• Maintain SQL Server instances and related database environments.
• Provide networking support, including switching, routing, wireless and VPN solutions.
• Oversee cybersecurity tools, endpoint protection, patching solutions and firewall technologies.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, handle upgrades, deployments and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with third‑party providers and internal teams to ensure service availability.

Required profile

• Proven experience with Windows Server administration (2019 or later).
• Strong knowledge of AD/Azure AD and Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
• Hands‑on experience with SQL Server and enterprise networking.
• Familiarity with security operations, firewall management and endpoint protection.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
