Team Lead of Content Moderators (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Team Lead to manage a remote team of content moderators. In this role you will ensure consistent application of platform guidelines across sensitive content, maintain quality standards and support continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily moderation operations, meeting productivity, quality and compliance targets.
• Provide hands‑on guidance for complex or high‑risk cases and ensure accurate policy enforcement.
• Monitor performance metrics and trends to identify operational improvements.
• Coordinate scheduling and workflow distribution to balance workloads.
• Support onboarding, training and continuous learning initiatives.
• Conduct moderation audits to maintain consistency and identify policy gaps.
• Act as escalation point for challenging cases and internal concerns.
• Collaborate with leadership and cross‑functional teams to enhance trust and safety strategies.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of leadership experience in content moderation, trust & safety, compliance or related fields.
• Strong understanding of sensitive online content such as hate speech, extremist material, self‑harm, fraud, exploitation and misinformation.
• Proven ability to interpret and enforce platform policies with sound judgment.
• Experience analysing moderation data and performance metrics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Comfortable working fully remote with strong organisational skills.
• High integrity, resilience and emotional maturity when handling high‑risk content.

Required skills

• Proficiency with digital moderation tools and reporting systems.
• Strong computer literacy and ability to learn new software quickly.
