Test and Run Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Test and Run Technician to join our Sunbelt Rentals service centre. In this busy role you will perform basic electrical and functional testing, service and clean returned hire equipment to ensure it is safe, reliable and ready for the next hire.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out basic 12/24 V electrical and functionality tests on returned equipment.
• Service, clean and prepare equipment for re‑hire, ensuring it meets safety and presentation standards.
• Update service records using internal IT systems and flag spare‑part requirements.
• Assist engineers with assembling larger equipment and support drivers with loading and unloading.
• Maintain a tidy, safe workshop environment.

Required profile

• Experience maintaining mechanical and/or electrical equipment.
• Good verbal and written communication.
• Attention to detail and accurate record‑keeping.
• Ability to work flexibly and support team members.
• Strong health and safety awareness.

Required skills

• Basic electrical skills (12/24 V).
• Basic mechanical skills and proficiency with hand tools.
