Transport Operations – Night Shift

About the role

The Transport Operations Night Shift role supports the day‑to‑day running of transport activities across the fleet, ensuring efficient planning, compliance and service delivery during the night hours. Based in Lusk, Co. Dublin, you will act as a central coordination point between planners, drivers, customers and depots.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily planning and execution of night transport schedules.
• Monitor vehicle movements, respond to operational issues and manage short‑notice changes.
• Assist with route optimisation and resource utilisation.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers during night operations.
• Liaise with workshop and fleet teams regarding vehicle availability and record defects.
• Communicate with customers about collections, deliveries and service issues.
• Update the Transport Management System (TMS) accurately and track KPIs such as on‑time delivery.
• Maintain operational records, support POD, invoicing and query resolution.
• Support compliance with road transport, health & safety and company policies, including audits and incident reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a transport or logistics operations role.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Transport Management Systems (TMS) proficiency.
